SEC was incorporated in the state of Alabama in 1956. At that time, with 75 franchised lines, we sold mainly to the service industry and to the OEM and MRO departments of industry throughout the southeast.

Over the years SEC has expanded and now has over 500 franchised lines of electronics that we distribute. Many of these lines have GSA contracts. (Click to see list)

This year we are spotlighting the fact that SEC is still a small, woman-owned business that is now HUBZone certified

The areas of sales have expanded to include schools, churches, hospitals, industries, and local-state-federal governments. In 1991 Southern Electronics was recognized as the “Small Business Contractor of the Year” by Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
